Starting young horses, solving behavior problems, providing horses for the film industry
ABOUT US: A lifelong horseman, Frank Calzavara was a third-generation rodeo competitor, trick rider and performer before branching into classical dressage, then working with thoroughbreds on the racetrack. For more than two decades he has concentrated on working with young sport horses and solving behavior problems with a gentle, positive approach.
Frank has also worked for many years as a stuntman and wrangler in the film industry, and is a Screen Actors Guild Awards winner for stunt ensemble. Jus-Ran Farm provides experienced horses, riders and wrangler services for film. Our credits include Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, along with dozens of other films, television productions and commercials.
Jus-Ran Farm is in southeast Wisconsin within easy driving distance of Chicago. The farm is adjacent to a 4,000 acre state park with 17 miles of horse trails. Board includes daily turnout, individualized care and feeding programs, with stalls cleaned daily. We have 21 stalls, indoor and outdoor arenas with excellent footing, turnout in individual paddocks or groups.
